The CarTES Project has received the prestigious Silver Charter award in the Rural Tourism Projects category as part of the Suncokret – The Sunflower Award 2024. This competition is organized by the Croatian Association for Tourism and Rural Development, “Club of Selo Members,” in partnership with the Croatian National Tourism Board and with sponsorship from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and the Parliament of Croatia.
The event gathers individuals and organizations dedicated to rural area development, preservation of traditions and cultural heritage, ecological production, and the promotion of local products.
A Celebration of Excellence
The award ceremony featured prominent institutional figures, including Tonči Glavina, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Marija Vučković, Minister of Environmental Protection and Green Transition, and Sunčana Glavak, representative of the President of the Croatian Parliament and Chair of the Agriculture Committee.

The Sunflower Award highlights the value of CarTES as a model of sustainability in food and wine tourism, reinforcing its role in enhancing local excellence and promoting a sustainable approach.
